How We Handle Information
Last Updated: August 8, 2026
This policy explains how Strategic Athlete collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit strategicathlete.com, contact us, join an email list, apply for coaching, purchase a program, or receive training or coaching services. Strategic Athlete is responsible for the information it controls. Some providers listed below also process information under their own privacy policies.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact requests: your name, email address, and the message you send through the contact form or by email.
- Coaching applications: your name, email address, optional phone number, goals, timeline, current training, commitment preference, and constraints you choose to describe. Those constraints may include injury, recovery, or other health-related information. Do not submit medical records, payment card details, government identifiers, or other information that is not needed to evaluate your request.
- Email subscriptions: your first name, email address, subscription status, and interactions with emails or free resources sent through Kit.
- Purchases: contact, order, product, transaction, refund, and subscription information received from Stripe or PayPal. Payment providers collect payment credentials on their own checkout pages; Strategic Athlete does not receive your full card number from those hosted checkouts.
- Training and coaching: account details, communications, goals, workouts, progress, performance information, and other data you choose to enter in TrainHeroic or TrueCoach. Strategic Athlete may access that information as needed to deliver the program or coaching relationship.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site, Strategic Athlete and its providers may collect IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, links or buttons used, timestamps, cookie or similar identifiers, and diagnostic or security data. Netlify may create hosting and form-submission logs. Analytics and advertising tags may record site interactions and conversions.
How We Use Information

- Respond to questions and evaluate coaching applications.
- Deliver requested newsletters, courses, programs, coaching, and customer support.
- Process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, accounting, and fraud prevention.
- Measure traffic, content engagement, advertising performance, and conversions.
- Send marketing messages you requested and maintain unsubscribe or suppression records.
- Enforce site terms, protect rights and safety, and comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The site uses cookies, pixels, tags, and related technologies supplied by hosting, analytics, advertising, email, anti-spam, payment, and media providers. These technologies may be session-based or persist between visits.
- Hosting and security: Netlify and other providers may use technical data to deliver the site, process forms, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
- Analytics: Google Tag Manager loads on site pages. At the date of this policy, the container includes Google Analytics to measure visits and site use.
- Advertising: the Tag Manager container also includes Meta Pixel, which may measure conversions and support advertising or audience features offered by Meta.
- Email and anti-spam: Kit forms use provider technology and may invoke Google reCAPTCHA to detect automated or abusive submissions.
- Video: YouTube content is presented with a click-to-load preview. Connecting to YouTube may allow Google or YouTube to collect device and usage information.
You can delete or block cookies through your browser, but browser settings or privacy signals may not prevent every provider tag from loading. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, manage Google advertising settings, and manage Meta advertising preferences. Use the unsubscribe link in any Strategic Athlete marketing email to stop those messages.
Service Providers and Platforms
Information is disclosed to providers only as reasonably necessary for the functions described in this policy. A provider may act as a processor for Strategic Athlete, an independent controller, or both, depending on the service and transaction.

Other Disclosures
Strategic Athlete may also disclose information to professional advisers; to comply with law, court orders, or valid government requests; to investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations of the Terms of Use; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Strategic Athlete or others; or in connection with a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business. Strategic Athlete does not sell personal information in exchange for money. Analytics and advertising disclosures may, however, be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws.
Legal Bases
Where a law requires a legal basis, Strategic Athlete processes information as needed to perform a contract or take requested steps before a contract; for legitimate interests such as operating, securing, improving, and marketing the business; with consent where requested; and to comply with legal obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent where applicable, subject to legal limits.
Data Retention
Strategic Athlete retains information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, the business relationship, dispute resolution, security, and legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Contact messages and coaching applications are retained while they are needed to respond and manage the relationship. Email subscription records are generally retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, with limited suppression records kept to honor that choice. Order and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, fraud, and legal purposes. Training-platform, payment-provider, analytics, hosting, and backup data also follow the relevant provider's settings and retention practices.
International Processing
Strategic Athlete and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different privacy laws than your location. Where required, providers use contractual or other approved safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising; limit some uses of sensitive information; or appeal a denied request. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Submit a request through the contact page or email contact@strategicathlete.com. Strategic Athlete may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request where the law permits. For information controlled directly by a payment, email, analytics, or coaching provider, you may also need to contact that provider.
Security
Strategic Athlete uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the site and relies on established providers for hosting, forms, payments, and program delivery. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. If a security incident requires notice, Strategic Athlete will provide notice as required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Strategic Athlete does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate. A parent or legal guardian must authorize purchases or coaching for anyone who cannot enter a binding contract in their location.
Third-Party Links and Media
The site links to checkout pages, coaching platforms, social networks, affiliate merchants, and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices apply when you visit or use them. Strategic Athlete is not responsible for a third party's independent privacy practices.
Policy Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site, providers, business practices, or law. The date at the top will change when an update is posted. Material changes will receive additional notice where required by law.
